Snow Force 2017 - an incredible fun experience with Porsche Challenging driving capabilities in freezing temperatures

Shanghai/Yakeshi. Porsche China kicks off its most popular driving experience event, the Snow Force, in Yakeshi, Inner Mongolia. With its unforgettable driving experiences and comprehensive driving course over the last six years, the Porsche Snow Force has been extremely popular among fans and enthusiasts. From February 19 to March 21 2017, over 670 customers and media will join a two-day customised extreme driving adventure on the surface of the frozen Yunlong Lake! Customers will experience the thrill of driving several Porsche high-end models under the guidance of professional instructors, challenge their driving skills to the maximum and enjoy the fun of speeding on ice, with a close touch of the rich culture and snow-covered scenery of Inner Mongolia.

During this event, Porsche brings its classic range of models to Yakeshi, such as the iconic Porsche 911, the dynamic flat engine sports cars 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman, the pioneering Macan, and the real sports car in SUV segment – the Cayenne. Through the severe cold and icy terrain, participants are able to gain first-hand insight into the incredible performance, safety and control of every Porsche sports car under all road and weather conditions. 13 professional instructors from all over the world will guide the participants through a range of challenging and exhilarating – straights, turns, bends and six braking zones in slaloming, drifting and acceleration. With the new ice go-kart session which is newly added this year, the Porsche Snow Force promises a unique driving experience, along with the fun of speed racing, in the extreme environment.

Interpretation of Porsche’s Pure Sport Genes at Snow Force

The new Panamera and 718 Boxster are also displayed on-site and perfectly embody the innovative spirit of Porsche: constantly pursuing pioneering technology for its customers and enthusiasts. The all new Panamera is the new high-profile member of the Porsche family. It is completely redeveloped with new engines, a new transmission, new assistant systems as well as improved best-in-class performance values. Along with its enhanced performance, this model features a newly designed centre console and future-oriented assistant systems underscoring Porsche’s operating philosophy and improving daily practicality. In addition, the new Panamera is a re-interpretation of the sporty four-door luxury sedan with its rear axle steering, PDCC and PASM system. It perfectly balances the opposing characteristics of the performance of a pure sports car and the comfort of a luxury sedan, setting a new benchmark in its market segment.

Inheriting its sports genes from the classic Porsche 718, the new 718 Boxster is equipped with a completely new four-cylinder turbocharged flat engine, opening a new chapter in the history of the legendary car. The new 718 Boxster features an innovative touchscreen with new PCM as standard. The brand new PCM with multi-point touchscreen, hand input, and Connect Plus technology provide in-time navigation and concierge services. It also includes online mobile services and apps that are offered by smartphone via Apple® CarPlay. More optional configuration can be customised to meet the customers’ demand.
